"They're so pretty when they open up as flowers, they leave these terrifying seed pods. They are extremely poisonous, and obviously painful to touch. Genius idea really, just to ensure as many of the little seeds inside make it."

This was one of the first photographs I took that turned out looking good with that camera, I was very happy with it. I really wanted to capture the texture, what those spikes would actually feel like. That camera is several years old and is just a general use camera, it had no macro capabilities. What I was trying to capture was very difficult, but I'm happy with the end result for sure. Especially being one of my first tries at photography.
