This was a commission I was asked to do through a fan of my artwork on Facebook. I was really flattered to have someone recommend me this way. My client wanted a specific painting done of her favourite band, Yelawolf. She wanted it to look antique, so I combined the original black and white image with a beige base underneath. This picture was taken of them in costume at Wonderland in Toronto, Ontario and they uploaded it on their Instagram account. The original image was very small so getting some of the small details was rather difficult, I had to find other images of the band to make sure I had facial structure correct and his tattoos. I am very happy with the end result. My client LOVES it, and that's what really brings me joy. She said she will be getting more artwork from me soon, which is really exciting! This painting taught me a lot about working with watercolours, which I haven't done in a while. It also made me step out of my comfort zone and paint something I otherwise wouldn't have experienced.
